Kevin Crowsyn is a Tampa based marketing consultant, award-winning U.S. Army Master Sergeant, public speaker, nonprofit leader, and marketing professor. With more than 20 years of experience spanning the military, nonprofit, and private sectors, Kevin blends real-world leadership with forward-thinking strategy to drive meaningful change.
He earned an M.A. in Mass Communication from the University of Florida, where he founded the Association of Military Alumni and served as its inaugural president. The UF Alumni Association recognized him with the 2024 Inclusive Leadership Award for Industry Achievement and named him its 2025 Leader of the Year.
His previous volunteer leadership roles include Chief Marketing Officer and Interim Chief Executive Officer of the US Veterans Foundation, as well as Advisory Board Member and Chief Communications and Marketing Officer for the Red Star Foundation.
In his military career, Kevin has pioneered digital transformation efforts within the U.S. Army Recruiting Command (USAREC), co-authoring two doctrinal publications and launching the Army’s first large scale digital recruiting initiative. His contributions earned him recognition from USAREC Commander LTG Johnny Davis as “one of the organization’s single most influential figures of the past decade.”
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Kevin served as First Sergeant of Orlando Medical Recruiting Company, where his digital-first strategy helped the unit to make Army history as the first to rank #1 in the nation for three consecutive years. He was personally commended by the U.S. Army Surgeon General for his leadership.
With over 40 military awards and recognitions, including three Meritorious Service Medals, Kevin will retire from the Army in early 2027 after over 25 years of service.
Kevin currently teaches Emerging Media and the Market at West Virginia University, guiding graduate students as they explore AI, chatbots, virtual influencers, and the metaverse as tools for modern integrated marketing.
Kevin has been a featured speaker on stages for Social Media Strategies Summit, Military Influencer Conference, Shriners International, Public Relations Society of America, National Association of Government Communicators, University of Florida, Veterans Social Summit, and more.
Kevin lives in the Tampa Bay region with his wife Kyla and their son. Together, they run Crowsyn Creative LLC.
