Kevin’s career has crossed multiple sectors, but a consistent theme has been building and improving the strategies, systems, and organizations that connect people with information, ideas, and opportunities.
Strategic Communications & Digital Transformation | U.S. Army Recruiting Command
During a 25-year U.S. Army career, Kevin held leadership roles spanning recruiting operations, strategic communication, digital strategy, organizational leadership, and transformation within U.S. Army Recruiting Command (USAREC).
He created USAREC’s first large-scale virtual recruiting program for 6th Recruiting Brigade, developing a digital recruiting capability across 42 regions and more than two million square miles. He later designed 2nd Recruiting Brigade’s integrated virtual strategy, aligning more than 1,000 social media accounts across 48 regions through standardized training, content planning, and performance measurement.
Kevin also co-authored two USAREC doctrinal publications, Medical Recruiting (TP 3-10.5) and Conducting Virtual Recruiting Activities (TP 3-10.4), helping institutionalize guidance for medical recruiting, virtual strategy, digital engagement, and performance measurement.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, he served as First Sergeant of Orlando Medical Recruiting Company, leading more than 40 personnel across six offices in Florida, Georgia, and Puerto Rico. The organization became the first company in Army Medical Recruiting history to achieve the #1 national ranking for three consecutive years. Kevin was also selected as the primary subject-matter expert for virtual recruiting strategy across Army Medical Recruiting Brigade.
His contributions to Army recruiting were recognized by USAREC Commanding General Lieutenant General Johnny Davis, who described Kevin as “undoubtedly one of the organization’s single most influential figures of the past decade.”

Kevin is Co-Founder and Chief Strategist of Crowsyn Creative LLC, a boutique marketing and communications firm he founded with his wife, Kyla Crowsyn.
He leads client strategy across integrated marketing, brand positioning, digital optimization, content strategy, SEO, GEO/AIO, and emerging technologies. The company builds on nearly a decade of Kevin’s previous independent consulting experience and combines strategic marketing with creative and digital capabilities to help organizations strengthen their positioning, communication, and online presence.
His work through Crowsyn Creative also provides a platform for exploring the changing relationship between communication strategy, artificial intelligence, emerging technology, and how organizations and audiences discover and evaluate information.
Executive & Nonprofit Leadership
Kevin’s leadership experience extends beyond the military into nonprofit executive management, organizational development, governance, marketing, and board leadership.
U.S. Veterans Foundation
Kevin served as Chief Marketing Officer of the U.S. Veterans Foundation from 2015 to 2017, leading marketing strategy, branding, website development, and digital communications for the national veterans nonprofit. During his tenure, the organization’s social media audience grew from approximately 5,000 to more than 70,000.
In 2017, he was selected to serve as Interim Chief Executive Officer during a period of organizational restructuring. In that role, he streamlined operations, implemented new governance bylaws, and helped reposition the organization for long-term sustainability.
University of Florida Association of Military Alumni
In 2023, Kevin founded the University of Florida Association of Military Alumni (UFAMA), developing the organization from concept through approval as an official University of Florida Alumni Association affiliate and recruiting its 11-member founding board and executive team.
As UFAMA’s inaugural President, he led strategic planning, governance, communications, partnerships, fundraising, and organizational growth. During the organization’s first six months following its official charter, UFAMA raised more than $15,000 and subsequently awarded more than $5,000 in scholarships to military-affiliated students.
Kevin later transitioned to Immediate Past President, providing strategic counsel and organizational continuity to the President and Board of Directors.
Higher Education & Graduate Instruction
Kevin brings his professional experience into graduate education as an adjunct professor at both the University of Florida and West Virginia University.
At the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications, he developed and teaches Military Strategic Communication, a graduate course examining communication strategy through military, government, and other high-stakes environments.
At West Virginia University, Kevin teaches Emerging Media and the Market in the graduate Integrated Marketing Communications program. His coursework examines emerging technologies, artificial intelligence, digital platforms, and their evolving application to marketing and communication strategy.
His teaching connects professional practice with emerging communication challenges, allowing lessons from military, nonprofit, and private-sector environments to inform graduate education.
